Storage Conditions	Lyophilized protein is stable for 2 years at -20C. Reconstituted protein is stable for 1 month at 2-4C or for 3 months in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20C. Please note that the addition of any carrier protein into this product may produce unwanted endotoxin. This depends upon the particular application employed. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles .

Description	Recombinant Human Activin A is a disulfide-linked homodimer of two beta A chains, each containing 116 amino acid residues.
Formulation	Lyophilized from 10 mM citric acid, pH 3.0
Reconstitution	Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Add sterile distilled water to the vial to fully solubilize the protein to a concentration of 0.5 mg/ml. Further dilutions should be made in PBS containing 2 mg/ml albumin.
Specificity	> 5 x 105 units/mg
Biological Activity	Determined by its ability to inhibit the proliferation of mouse MPC-11 cells. The ED50 is < 2 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level	< 0.1 ng/ug of Activin A
