Description	Resistin is a peptide hormone belonging to the class of cysteine-rich secreted proteins which is termed the RELM family and is also described as ADSF (Adipose Tissue-Specific Secretory Factor) and FIZZ3 (Found in Inflammatory Zone). Resistin is produced by adipocytes and may be an important link between obesity and insulin resistance. Recombinant human Resistin is a disulfide-linked homodimer, containing two 93 amino acid chains.
Formulation	Recombinant human Resistin is lyophilized from 0.1% TFA.
Reconstitution	Centrifuge vial prior to opening. When reconstituting the product, gently pipet and wash down the sides of the vial to ensure full recovery of the protein into solution. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized product with sterile water at a concentration of 0.1 mg/ml, which can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity	The activity is determined by its ability to activate ERK1/2 in SH-SY5Y cells.
Endotoxin Level	Measured by kinetic LAL analysis and is typically <= 1 EU/ug protein.
