Storage Conditions	Lyophilized product is very stable at -20C. Reconstituted material should be aliquoted and frozen at -20C. It is recommended that a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) is added for long term storage. Please note that the addition of any carrier protein into this product may produce unwanted endotoxin. This depends upon the particular application employed. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description	Receptor Activator of NF-kappaB Ligand (RANK Ligand) is a cell-bound marker (CD254) related to the TNF family of proteins. RANK Ligand plays a critical role in bone metabolism, particularly osteoclast differentiation. In addition, RANK Ligand is expressed by some T cells is thought to promote dendritic cell maturation. Recombinant mouse soluble RANK Ligand is a non-glycosylated protein, containing 174 amino acids.
Formulation	Sterile filtered and lyophilized from 10 mM Na2PO4, pH 7.5 + 50 mM NaCl.
Reconstitution	Centrifuge vial before opening. When reconstituting the product, gently pipet and wash down the sides of the vial to ensure full recovery of the protein into solution. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized product with sterile water at a concentration of 0.1 mg/ml, which can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity	Measured by its ability to induce osteoclast formation in RAW264.7 cells using a concentration of 50 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level	0.22 EU/ug protein (with a 50% confidence range)
