Thelyophilized product, though stable for 3 weeks at room temperature, is beststored at -20°C. After reconstitution, short term (up to 1 week) store at2–8oC. Long term, add 0.1% HSA or BSA, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoidmultiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Recombinant Human IL-10 is a single, glycosylatedpolypeptide chain containing 161 amino acids and having a molecular weight of18, 606.29 Da. The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids wasdetermined to be Ser- Pro-Gly-Gln-Thr. Contains less than 1% dimers andaggregates.

Purified, Lyophilized. Reconstituteusing sterile deionized water to a concentration >=100ug/ml. Further dilutionscan be made in other aqueous buffers.

Interleukin-10 (IL-10 or IL10), also known as humancytokine synthesis inhibitory factor (CSIF), is an anti-inflammatorycytokine. In humans IL-10 is encoded by the IL10 gene. This cytokine isproduced primarily by monocytes and to a lesser extent by lymphocytes. Thiscytokine has pleiotropic effects in immunoregulation and inflammation. Itdown-regulates the expression of Th1 cytokines, MHC class II antigens, and costimulatorymolecules on macrophages. It also enhances B cell survival, proliferation, and antibody production. This cytokine can block NF-kappaB activity, and isinvolved in the regulation of the JAK-STAT signaling pathway. Knockoutstudies in mice suggested the function of this cytokine as an essentialimmunoregulator in the intestinal tract.
