Manufacturer - Applications	Specific activity of Human IL-8 determined inchemotaxis of donor PBL neutrophils with threshold concentrationcorresponding to 10-100ng/ml. Each laboratory should determine an optimumworking titer for use in its particular application. Other applications havenot been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
Storage Conditions	The lyophilizedproduct, though stable for 3 weeks at room temperature, is best stored at–20°C. After reconstitution, short term (up to 1 week) store at 2-8oC. Longterm, add 0.1% HSA or BSA, aliquot and store at –20°C. Avoid multiplefreeze/thaw cycles.

Antigen Description	IL-8is a chemotactic factor that attracts neutrophils, basophils, and T-cells, but not monocytes. It is also involved in neutrophil activation. It isreleased from several cell types in response to an inflammatory stimulus.IL-8(6-77) has a 5-10-fold higher activity on neutrophil activation, IL-8(5-77) has increased activity on neutrophil activation and IL-8(7-77) hasa higher affinity to receptors CXCR1 and CXCR2 as compared to IL-8(1-77), respectively.
