Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) is a cytokine produced primarily by monocytes and macrophages. It is found in synovial cells and macrophages in the tissues.The primary role of TNFα is in the regulation of immune cells. TNFα is able to induce apoptotic cell death, to induce inflammation, and to inhibit tumorigenesis and viral replication. Dysregulation of TNFα production has been implicated in a variety of human diseases, including major depression, Alzheimer's disease and cancer. This ELISA assay pair contains the basic components required for the development of sandwich ELISAs to measure natural and recombinant human TNF-α.

1. Unopened kit should be stored at 2°C-8°C upon receiving.2. Find the expiration date on the outside packaging and do not use reagents past their expiration date.3. The opened kit should be stored per components table. The shelf life is 30 days from the date of opening.
