Rabbit antibody to Optineurin

FUNCTION: Plays a neuroprotective role in the eye and optic nerve. Probably part of the TNF-alpha signaling pathway that can shift the equilibrium toward induction of cell death. May act by regulating membrane trafficking and cellular morphogenesis via a complex that contains Rab8 and hungtingtin (HD).
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasm a€C perinuclear region. Golgi apparatus. Note: Found in the perinuclear region and associates with the Golgi apparatus.
TISSUE SPECIFICITY: In eye, it is expressed in anterior segment, retina, and optic nerve blood vessels (at protein level). Highly expressed in adult liver, heart and testis.

IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 2000 is recommended for WB and 1 : 1000 IHC-P. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
