Description	Claudin-18.2 is a member of the tight junction protein family. Under physiological conditions, it is only expressed at low levels in the differentiated epithelial cells of the gastric mucosa; whereas under pathological conditions, it exhibits abnormally high expression in various tumors such as gastric cancer and pancreatic cancer, making it an ideal biomarker for tumor-targeted therapy.

Characteristics	This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus and a Flag tag at the C-terminus followed by an Avi tag (Avitag™). The protein has a calculated MW of 26.8 kDa. The protein migrates as 25 kDa, 40 kDa and 43-80 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
