Background	Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha), also known as cachectin and TNFSF2, is a pleiotropic pro-inflammatory cytokine secreted by various cells including adipocytes, activated monocytes, macrophages, B cells, T cells and fibroblasts. It belongs to the TNF family of ligands and signals through two receptors, TNFR1 and TNFR2. TNF-alpha is cytotoxic to a wide variety of tumor cells and is an essential factor in mediating the immune response against bacterial infections. TNF-alpha also plays a role in the induction of septic shock, auto immune diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammation, and diabetes.

Usage notes	Always centrifuge tubes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Mouse TNF-alpha protein using the buffer we provided not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Storage instructions	Lyophilized Mouse TNF-alpha protein product should be stored desiccated below -20CC. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4CC between 2-7 days and for future use below -20CC. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
