Background	Hepatocyte growth factor activator (HGFA) is a serine protease initially identified as a potent activator of hepatocyte growth factor/scatter factor. Hepatocyte growth factor/scatter factor is known to be critically involved in tissue morphogenesis, regeneration, and tumor progression, via its receptor, MET.In vivo, HGFA also activates macrophage-stimulating protein, which has roles in macrophage recruitment and inflammatory processes, cellular survival and wound healing through its receptor, RON.

Formulation	Lyophilized from 0.22μm filtered solution in 20mM Tris, 150mM NaCl, 2mM CaCl2 (pH 8.0). Normally 8% trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.
Reconstitution	Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. It is recommended to resuspend at 0.5 mg/mL if the lyophilized powder is 100 μg or less, at 1mg/ml for 500μg or 1mg lyophilized powder. Do not mix by vortex or vigorous shaking.
