Description	Recombinant Rat MASP2 Protein is expressed from E.coli with His tag at the C-Terminus.It contains Thr287-Phe685.
Background	The dysregulation of complement cascade leads to unsolicited cytokine storm, inflammation, deterioration of alveolar lining cells, culminating in acquired respiratory destructive syndrome (ARDS). Similar pathogenesis is observed with the middle east respiratory syndrome (MERS), severe acquired respiratory syndrome (SARS), and SARS-CoV-2. Activation of the lectin pathway via mannose-binding lectin associated serine protease 2 (MASP2) is witnessed under discrete viral infections including COVID-19.
Endotoxin	Less than 1 EU per μg by the LAL method.
Molecular Weight	The protein has a predicted MW of 46.7 kDa. Due to autocatalytic cleavage, the protein migrates to 15-20 kDa&25-30 kDa based on Bis-Tris PAGE result.

Reconstitution	Centrifuge the tube before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/ml is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.
