Description	Recombinant Human Cathepsin H is produced by our Mammalian expression system & the target gene encoding Ala23-Val335 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution of 20mM PB, 150mM NaCl, pH7.4.
Background	Pro-Cathepsin H (CTSH) is a lysosomal cysteine proteinase that belongs to the peptidase C1 family. CTSH is composed of a dimer of disulfide-linked heavy & light chains, both produced from a single protein precursor. CTSH is important for the overall degradation of proteins in lysosomes. CTSH hydrolyzes lysosomal proteins, acting as an aminopeptidase (notably, cleaving Arg-\|-Xaa bonds) as well as an endopeptidase. Increased expression of CTSH has been correlated with malignant progression of prostate tumors.
Endotoxin	Less than 0.1 ng/ug (1 IEU/ug) as determined by LAL test.
Reconstitution	Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in ddH2O. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
