Bio-Activity	Measured by its ability to inhibit recombinant human BMP4 induced activity in MC3T3-E1 Mouse osteoblastic cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.5-2 ug/ml in the presence of 50 ng/ml of recombinant human BMP4.

Molecule Mass	The recombinant mouse ALK3 consists of 140 amino acids after removal of the signal peptide and has a predicted molecular mass of 15.8 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rm ALK3 is approximately 30 kDa due to glycosylation.
