Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human NBPF6.

Members of the neuroblastoma breakpoint family are encoded by genes that map to a region of segmental duplications on human chromosome 1. Both NBPF4 (neuroblastoma breakpoint family member 4) and NBPF6 (neuroblastoma breakpoint family member 6) are cytoplasmic proteins that belong to the NBPF family. NBPF4 contains 123aa and is expressed in testis, while NBPF6 consists of 638aa and contains 3 NBPF domains. Like other NBPF family members, both proteins are encoded by genes that map to human chromosome 1p13.3. Human chromosome 1 spans 260 million base pairs, contains over 3000 genes, comprises nearly 8% of the human genome and houses a large number of disease-associated genes, including those that are involved in familial adenomatous polyposis, Stickler syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, Gaucher disease, schizophrenia and Usher syndrome.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
