Description	HI58a reacts with a membrane glycoprotein of 55-70kDa which occurs either as a transmembrane moiety with a cytoplasmic domain or resident in the membrane. CD58 is a cell adhesion molecule of the Super Ig family, and facilitates antigen recognition via CD2. The antigen is present on erythrocytes, platelets, monocytes, bone marrow cells, a lymphocyte subset and epithelial and endothelial cells.
