Anti-Amyloid Beta A4 Precursor, APP

Amyloid precursor protein (APP) is an integral membrane protein expressed in many tissues and concentrated in the synapses of neurons. It is encoded by the APP gene which contains 19 exons and spans more than 170Kb, APP has several isoforms, with certain isoforms preferentially expressed in neurons, changes in the neuronal ratio of these isoforms have been associated with Alzheimer's disease. Several mutations outside the Ab region associated with familial Alzheimer's have been found to dramatically increase production of Ab.

Purified, in TBS (pH7.4), 0.5% BSA, 40% Glycerol and 0.05% Sodium Azide.

Store at 2-8C (Short Term). Aliquot and store at -20C for long term. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
