Description of target	Beta-catenin is an adherens junction protein. Adherens junctions (AJs; also called the zonula adherens) are critical for the establishment and maintenance of epithelial layers, such as those lining organ surfaces. AJs may also function in the transmission of the 'contact inhibition' signal, which instructs cells to stop dividing once an epithelial sheet is complete. CTNNB1 is mapped to 3p22-p21.3. Beta-catenin has functions as both an adhesion and a signaling molecule. Beta-catenin controls hair follicle morphogenesis and stem cell differentiation in the skin.
Purification	Purified by the goat anti-mouse IgG Affinity chromatography.
