Background	Excitatory amino acid transporter 4(EAAT4), also known as Sodium-dependent glutamate/aspartate transporter is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC1A6 gene. This gene is mapped to 19p13.12. EAAT4 is expressed predominantly in the cerebellum, has high affinity for the excitatory amino acids L-aspartate and L-glutamate. When stimulated by these amino acids, EAAT4 conducts chloride ions. This gene seems to act as a symport by cotransporting sodium.
Immunogen	A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of human EAAT4(516-533aa AAVIEHLSQRELELQEAE), identical to the related mouse and rat sequences.
Contents	Each vial contains 5 mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05 mg Thimerosal, 0.05 mg NaN3.
