Background	The reactivity of the antiserum is restricted to subclass specific determinants on IgG3. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion, using various antiserum concentrations against normal human serum a single precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified IgG3. No precipitation reaction is obtained with purified other subclasses of IgG, IgA, IgM, and IgG/Fab fragments.
Form	Delipidated, heat inactivated, in PBS and 0.1% sodium azide.
Specificity	Precipitating polyclonal Rabbit anti-Serum to Human IgG3, subclass specific.
Storage	Store at 4C, or in small aliquots at -20C.
Source	Highly purified homogenous IgG3 isolated from human serum. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

Cross-reactivity	The antiSerum does not cross-react with any other component of the Human immunoglobulin system. Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins, since Ig of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiSerum has not been tested in detail.
