Description	Rubella virus is an enveloped positive-strand RNA virus of the family TOGAVIRIDAE: Virions are composed of three structural proteins: a capsid and two membrane-spanning glycoproteins, E2 and E1. During virus assembly, the capsid interacts with genomic RNA to form nucleocapsids. The, E. coli, derived recombinant protein contains the Rubella Virus Capsid C regions, 1-123 amino acids.
Formulation	20 mM imidazole + 8 M urea and 0.3 M NaCl.
Specificity	Immunoreactive with sera of Rubella Virus infected individuals.
