Genway ID:
GWB-4BADB8
Antigen Specificity:
Polyclonal antibody produced in rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of Human TADA3L.
ELISA Titre:

Category:
Transcription Factor Antibodies
Note:
Suggested starting concentrations are provided. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end-user. Differences in calculated versus apparent molecular weight may be due to post-translational modifications or protein hydrophobicity. Many DNA-binding transcriptional activator proteins enhance the initiation rate of RNA polymerase II-mediated gene transcription by interacting functionally with the general transcription machinery bound at the basal promoter. Adaptor proteins are usually
Function:
Functions as a component of the PCAF complex. The PCAF complex is capable of efficiently acetylating histones in a nucleosomal context. The PCAF complex could be considered as the human version of the yeast SAGA complex. Also known as a coactivator for p53/TP53-dependent transcriptional activation.
Subunit:
The PCAF complex is composed of a number of TBP-associated factors (TAFS) such as TAF5 TAF5L TAF6 TAF6L TAF9 TAF10 and TAF12 PCAF and also PCAF-associated factors (PAFs) such as TADA2L/ADA2 TADA3L/ADA3 and SPT3. Interacts directly with TADA2L and PCAF and also with the high-risk HPV oncoprotein E6. Component of the STAGA transcription coactivator-HAT complex at least composed of SUPT3H GCN5L2 TAF5L TAF6L SUPT7L TADA3L TAD1L TAF10 TAF12 TRRAP and TAF9. Component of the TFTC-HAT complex.
Subcellular Location:
Nucleus.
Tissue Specificity:
Ubiquitously expressed. Summary: Many DNA-binding transcriptional activator proteins enhance the initiation rate of RNA polymerase II-mediated gene transcription by interacting functionally with the general transcription machinery bound at the basal promoter. Adaptor proteins are usually required for this activation possibly to acetylate and destabilize nucleosomes thereby relieving chromatin constraints at the promoter. The protein encoded by this gene is a transcriptional activator adaptor and has been found to be part of the PCAF histone acetylase complex. In addition it associates with the tumor suppressor protein p53 and is required for full activity of p53 and p53-mediated apoptosis. At least four alternatively spliced variants have been found for this gene but the full-length nature of some variants has not been determined. Rual. J. F. . et al. .
