Localization:	Cell Membrane Receptors for the C - C chemokine family include CCR 1 CCR 2A CCR 3 CCR 4 CCR 5 and the Duffy blood group antigen. The C - C receptors are important in the function of T cell chemotaxis and migration of phagocytic cells to sites of inflammation. The CCR8 receptor in particular mediates CC chemokine I 309 induced monocyte chemo-attraction HIV 1 envelope fusion and virus infection.
Function:	Receptor for the chemokine SCYA1/I-309. May regulate monocyte chemotaxis and thymic cell line apoptosis. Alternative coreceptor with CD4 for HIV-1 infection.
Subcellular Location:	Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
