Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product. Antigen Distribution: CD4 is present on 39 +/- 5 % of normal peripheral blood lymphocytes and 90 % of thymocytes. This antigen is found on the T helper cells. The CD4 molecule is the receptor for HIV.
