Usage Notes	• 96 Well Clear Flat Bottom UV-Transparent Microplate is needed. • Do not mix or substitute reagents or materials from other kit lots or vendors. • The sample preparation must be done on ice to prevent the enzyme inactivation, and the enzyme activity should be determined on the same day. avoid repeated freeze-thaw.
Storage Instructions	Storage at -20°C and Keep from light immediately upon receipt. Kit has a storage time of 6 months from receipt. Refer to list of materials supplied for storage conditions of individual components.

Background	Aconitase, an enzyme in the tricarboxylic acid cycle, catalyzes the conversion of citric acid to isocitrate. Citric acid itself is not easy to be oxidized. Under the action of aconitase, the hydroxyl group is transferred from the β carbon atom to the α carbon atom through the reaction of dehydration and water addition to generate isocitric acid that is easy to deoxidize, for further oxidative decarboxylation reaction be prepared.
