Storage	Store it under sterile conditions at -20C to -80C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipping	In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid. They are shipped out with blue ice unless customers require otherwise.
Protein Construction	A DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Lys265) of human EpCAM (NP_002345.1) was fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

Bio-Activity	Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of NIH-3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells. When cells are added to EpCAM-His coated plates (1.25ug/mL, 100uL/well), approximately >40% will adhere specifically after 30 minutes at 37C.

Molecule Mass	The recombinant human EpCAM consists of 253 amino acids after removal of the signal peptide and has a calculated molecular mass of 29 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rh EpCAM is approximately 36 kDa due to glycosylation.
