Storage	Store it under sterile conditions at -20C to -80C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipping	In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid. They are shipped out with blue ice unless customers require otherwise.

Bio-Activity	1. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized recombinant mouse IL5-his at 5 ug/ml (100 ul/well) can bind biotinylated human IL5Ra-his with a linear range of 32-4000 ng/mL. 2. Measured in a cell proliferation assay using TF-1 human erythroleukemic cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.1-0.5 ng/mL.

Molecule Mass	The recombinant mouse IL5 consists of 123 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 14.5 kDa. It migrates as an approximately 18 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, and the homodimer form could also be seen.
