Supplied as a liquid in 0.1M glycine buffer, pH 9.5.

Negative infectivity for HSV-2 is defined as the inability of an inactivated virus preparation to produce CPE (cytopathic effect) after 3 days of incubation on a monolayer of Vero cells.

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Method of Inactivation:
UV light.

Storage and Stability:
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
