Description	This peptide is angiontensin I (Ang I) with valine and isoleucine universally labeled with 13C and 15N. Ang I is a precursor to Ang II, which has been implicated in cardiovascular functions, cell proliferation, fibrosis, and apoptosis. The 10-mer Ang I peptide is converted to Ang II through the cleavage of the Phe8-His9 bond of Ang I by angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) or human chymase.
