Description
Our Anti-MGL mouse monoclonal primary antibody from NeuroMab is produced in-house from hybridoma clone N90/20. It detects mouse and rat MGL, and is TC supernatant. It is great for use in ICC, WB.
Target Description
Monoglyceride lipase, HU-K5 , MAGL or MGL is encoded by the gene MGLL. MGL acts as a serine hydrolase of the AB hydrolase superfamily. This enzyme catalyzes the conversion of monoacylglycerides to free fatty acids and glycerol and is involved in physiological processes including pain and nociperception through hydrolysis of the endocannabinoid 2-arachidonoylglycerol. (PubMed:19029917, PubMed:20079333, PubMed:21049984, PubMed:22969151, PubMed:24368842). MGL is found ubiquitously and highly expressed in adipose tissue, adrenal gland, ovary, heart, spleen, lung, skeletal muscle, kidney and brain. Diseases associated with this gene include Cannabis Dependence and Hallucinogen Dependence.
