Description
Our Anti-Botch mouse monoclonal primary antibody from NeuroMab is produced in-house from hybridoma clone N116/14. It detects human, mouse, and rat Botch, and is purified by Protein A chromatography. It is great for use in ICC, WB.
Target Description
Cation transport regulator-like protein 1, Glutathione-Specific Gamma-Glutamylcyclotransferase 1 or Botch1 is encoded by the gene CHAC1. Chac1 is a member of the gamma-glutamylcyclotransferase family. It is an enzyme that acts to catalyze the cleavage of glutathione into 5-oxo-L-proline and a Cys-Gly dipeptide. Chac1 is involved in neuronal differentiation by deglycination of the Notch receptor, which prevents receptor maturation and inhibits Notch signaling. CHAC1 is expressed in tissues including brain (forebrain and anterior spinal cord), and heart. Diseases associated with CHAC1 include Ovarian Embryonal Carcinoma and Ovarian Cancer.
Clonality
Monoclonal
Manufacturer - Specificity
No cross-reactivity against Botch2/Chac2
Concentration
1 mg/mL
Form
Purified by Protein A chromatography
Buffer
10 mM Tris, 50 mM Sodium Chloride, 0.065% Sodium Azide pH 7.109
Production Notes
Produced by in vitro bioreactor culture of hybridoma line followed by Protein A affinity chromatography. Purified mAbs are >90% specific antibody.
Quality Control
Each new lot of antibody is quality control tested on cells overexpressing target protein and confirmed to give the expected staining pattern.
