Product Description	The fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family is a group of multi-functional polypeptides that functionin embryonic development, tissue repair, neuronal cell survival, cardiovascular disease, andtumorigenesis. The biological activities of FGF are mediated by cell surface receptors that havetyrosine kinase activity. FGFR-1 is activated by FGF-1 and FGF-2. In neoplastic cells, overexpression of FGF-1, FGF-2 and FGF receptors appear to contribute to cellular transformation and proliferation.
