Product Description	Type IV collagen is the main collagen component of the basement membrane. It is a network- forming collagen that underlies epithelial and endothelial cells and functions as a barrier between tissue compartments. Each type IV collagen molecule is a heterotrimer composed of three alpha chains. Type IV collagen triple helices form open, nonfibrillar networks that associate with laminin assemblies.
