Product Description	The human p8 gene encodes a nuclear protein with potent mitogenic properties, promoting enhanced cell proliferation. Its expression is notably induced in the pancreas during episodes of acute pancreatitis, suggesting a role in stress response and tissue regeneration. While p8 expression does not alter cellular responses to TNF-α or staurosporine-induced apoptosis, cells expressing p8 exhibit significantly increased growth rates, highlighting its potential involvement in cell cycle regulation and recovery from injury.
