Product description	MAT2B is a member of methyltransferases family that share homology with, but are distinct from, the UbiE family of methyltransferases. It is the regulatory subunit of S-adenosylmethionine synthetase 2, an enzyme that catalyzes the formation of S-adenosylmethionine from methionine and ATP. It regulates MAT2A catalytic activity by changing its kinetic properties, increasing its affinity for L-methionine.
