Synthetic peptide corresponding to 76aa of DUX4 with glutathione-s-transferase (gst) tag at C-terminal.

UX4, or double homeobox4, is a human protein that is a transcriptional activator of paired-like homeodomain transcription factor 1 (1). Clinically it is a facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy candidate gene that appears to have a toxic gain of function (2-4). In FSHD individuals, the expression of the full-length DUX4 transcipt is not completely suppressed in skeletal muscle and possibly other differentiated tissues (5).

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:1000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
