Immunogen
Three peptide sequences conserved in higher verterbrate MBP protein.
Specificity
Recognizes bovine Neurofilament Heavy Phosphorylated. Species Crossreactivity: Human, rat, mouse, feline, chicken.
Description
Neurofilaments contain three intermediate filament proteins: light (68kD), medium (160kD) and heavy (200kD). Neurofilament heavy (NF200 or NF-H) is phosphorylated and it is thought that this results in the formation of interfilament cross bridges that are important in the maintenance of axonal caliber. This antibody binds primarily to the phosphorylated axonal forms of NF-H.

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot: 1:100, 000-1:1, 000, 000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50, 000-1:100, 000
Immunocytochemistry: 1:50, 000-1:100, 000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
