Full length native protein (purified) (Human).

RBM8A is a member of the EJC (The exon junction complex) that is involved in mRNA export, cytoplasmic localization and nonsense mediated mRNA decay. This protein has the ability to communicate to the cytoplasm the processing history of the mRNA, including the position of the removed introns. Although it shuttles to the cytoplasm, it is predominantly detected in the nucleus and is colocalized with oskar mRNA at the posterior pole of the cell.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Flow Cytometry: 1-2ug for 10e6 cells
Immunohistochemistry(Paraffin): 1ug/ml. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: 1:15. PubMed: 17103222
Western Blot: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Detects a band of ~21kD (predicted molecular weight: 21kD). PubMed: 17103222

Hybridoma:
Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
