Description
S-Adenosyl-L-homocysteine (SAH) is an aa derivative and an intermediate, by-product, or modulator of several metabolic pathways, including the activated methyl cycle and cysteine biosynthesis. It is also a product of S-adenosyl-methionine (SAM)-dependent methylation of biological molecules, including DNA, RNA, and histones and other proteins. SAH is a risk factor for many diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Dot Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:500-1:2000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. Do not freeze. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at 4°C. Aliquots are stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
