Description
B cell CLL/leukemia 10 (Bcl-10), a 233 amino acid, 26.2kD protein, is the cellular homolog of the equine Herpes virus-2 gene (E10). Bcl-10 is also known as CARD like apoptotic protein (CLAP), CED-3/ICH-1 prodomain homologous E10-like regulator (CIPER), celluar-E10 (c-E10), and CARD-containing molecule enhancing NFkappaB (CARMEN). Bcl-10 contains a caspase recruitment domain (CARD) and has been shown to induce apoptosis and to activate NF-kappaB. Bcl-10 can interact with other CARD domain containing proteins including CARD9, 10, 11, and 14, which function as upstream regulators of NF-kappaB signaling. Defects in Bcl-10 may be involved in the pathogenesis of human malignancy.

Hybridoma:
Produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, E. coli-derived, recombinant human Bcl-10 (rhBcl-10, aa1-192; Accession # O95999).

Applications:
Western Blot: An antibody concentration of 1.0ug/ml is recommended.
Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile PBS with 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
