Human leucocytes from individuals with CML.

The CEACAM8 gene product is called CD66b, Non-specific cross-reacting antigen NCA-95 or Carcinoembryonic antigen CGM6. CD66b is a 286 amino acid mature ~95-100kD GPI anchored molecule with an N-terminal 34 amino acid signal peptide and a 29 amino acid C-terminal propeptide, shed in the mature form. CD66b is expressed strongly by mature granulocytes and metamyelocytes, and weakly by bone marrow myelocytes. CD66b is not expressed by peripheral blood monocytes or lymphocytes.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Flow Cytometry: 1:20-1:100. Use 10ul to label 5x10e5 cells or 100ul whole blood.
Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:25-1:100, the epitope recognized by this antibody is reported to be sensitive to formaldehyde fixation and tissue processing. Use acetone fixation for frozen sections.
Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher.

Hybridoma:
Spleen cells from immunized BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the mouse MOPC 315-43 myeloma cell line.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
