Human Collagen type IV

Human plasma proteins do not interfere with collagen binding. Collagen is located in the extracellular matrix of connective tissues. It is part of the interacting network of proteoglycans and proteins that provides a structural framework for both soft and calcified connective tissues. Type IV collagen forms a two-dimensional reticulum and is a major component of the basal lamina.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry, ELISA and Dot Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:20 if Peroxidasae labeled secondary is used. If FITC is used dilute 1:10. Not tested on paraffin.
Immunocytochemistry: Cultured human cells
ELISA: Native human collagen IV
Dot Blot: Native human collagen IV
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Human kidney, liver, skin, heart

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with 1ml ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
