Description
The Hsp40 (heat shock protein with molecular size of approximately 40kD) is one of the mammalian homologues of bacterial DnaJ heat shock protein. Ohtsuka (1993) isolated a cDNA encoding a 40kD heat-shock protein designated HSPF1. The deduced 340aa HSPF1 protein is 34% identical to E. coli DnaJ and 34% and 36% identical to HSJ1 and HSJ2, respectively. HSPF1 gene spans over 7kb and contains 3 exons and 2 introns. HSPF1 gene is mapped to chromosome 19p13.2.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 0.5-1ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with 200ul sterile dH20. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
