Description
Neurofilaments are composed of 3 neuron-specific proteins with apparent molecular masses of 68 Kd (NFL), 125 kD (NFM), and 200 kD (NFH) on SDS-gel electrophoresis. Genomic clones for the largest human neurofilament protein (NF-H) were isolated, the intron/exon boundaries mapped and the entire protein-coding regions (exons) sequenced. mutations in neurofilaments have been linked to some forms of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT).

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1-2ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1-2ug/ml using formalin or acetone fixed tissues
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
