Immunogen
beta-Phosphoglucomutase [Lactococcus lacti]
Specificity
Recognizess beta-Phosphoglucomutase. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-goat serum as well as purified and partially purified beta-Phosphoglucomutase.
Description
Phosphoglucomutase (PGM) interconverts the 1- and 6-phosphate isomers of alpha-D-glucose. Although it is a reversible reaction, the formation of glucose-6-phosphate is markedly favored. PGM will not convert beta-D-glucose-1-phosphate or beta-D-glucose-6-phosphate.

Applications:
Suitable for ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:15, 000 - 1:60, 000. Tested against 1ug of beta-Phosphoglucomutase [Lactococcus lacti] in a standard sandwich ELISA using peroxidase conjugated rabbit anti-goat IgG [H&L] and ABTS as as substrate (incubation: 30 minutes at RT).
Western Blot: 1:500 - 1:3, 000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
