Description
ROC (Regulator of Cullins) family proteins complex with cullin proteins to form ubiquitin ligases, an important step in the process of ubiquitin dependent protein degradation. ROC1 (also known as Rbx1 or Hrt1) is a highly conserved ring finger protein that is highly homologous to APC11, a subunit of the anaphase promoting complex. ROC1 is an essential subunit of CUL1 and CD53 ubiquitin ligases which catalyze ubiquitination of NFkB inhibitor, and Sic1 which is a CDK inhibitor. ROC1Cand ROC2 interact with all cullin proteins to form active ubiquitin ligases. Recent evidence suggests that ROC1 binds CUL1 and this promotes its nuclear localization. This eventually leads to formation of the active CUL1 ubiquitin ligase.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
