Human Toll-Like receptor 2 (TLR2) is a 97kD, 766aa type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the Toll-like receptor family (TLR) of pattern recognition receptors. TLR2 is expressed on most leukocytes, endothelial cells and hepatocytes. It forms heterodimers with TLR1, TLR6, or in humans, TLR10, and recognizes lipoproteins and glycolipids from bacteria, mycoplasma, and yeast. Ligand recognition by TLR2 stimulates production of pro-inflammatory cytokines including TNF-a, IL-2, IL-6, IL-12, and MIP-2. The extracellular regions of human and mouse TLR2 share 67% aa identity.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
