Manufacturer - Targets
This SRC antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 24-52 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human SRC.
Bio Background
This gene is highly similar to the v-src gene of Roussarcoma virus. This proto-oncogene may play a role in theregulation of embryonic development and cell growth. The proteinencoded by this gene is a tyrosine-protein kinase whose activitycan be inhibited by phosphorylation by c-SRC kinase. Mutations inthis gene could be involved in the malignant progression of coloncancer. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have beenfound for this gene.
