Background
This gene encodes a member of the sialomucin proteinfamily. The encoded protein was originally identified as animportant component of glomerular podocytes. Podocytes are highlydifferentiated epithelial cells with interdigitating foot processescovering the outer aspect of the glomerular basement membrane.Other biological activities of the encoded protein include: bindingin a membrane protein complex with Na+/H+ exchanger regulatoryfactor to intracellular cytoskeletal elements, playing a role inhematopoetic cell differentiation, and being expressed in vascularendothelium cells and binding to L-selectin.
Purification
This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Concentration
Batch dependent
Buffer
Supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide.
Immunogen
This PODXL antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 410-439 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human PODXL.

Polyclonal
