The glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor is aglycolipid found on many blood cells and serves to anchor proteinsto the cell surface. This gene is thought to encode a member of afamily of dolichol-phosphate-mannose (Dol-P-Man) dependentmannosyltransferases.
