Application info	The SemenHos test is used to test sperm vitality. The hypoosmotic swelling is due to the semi-permeability of the intact cell membrane and its ability to actively transport water in order not to burst. In sperm with intact membranes, the flagellum swells rapidly within 5 minutes, this change remaining stable for up to 30 minutes.
Principle	Bei dem hypoosmotischen Schwelltest kommt es nur bei vitalen Zellen mit einer intakten Membran zum Anschwellen der Zellen in hypotoner Lösung
